451 just going by my house entering Pontiac at 5 pm. Number of the second NS engine is 2777. Second day in a row that an NS engine is on the Holly Sub. Haven't seen one in a couple of years.

Yep I knew this would happen, I totally prepared for this, I knew I would t see this EJ&E unit, and who ever knows when I'll see another one up here in Michigan.I hope I see this loco MORE THAN ONCE!!!! Now I'm starting to have doubts with CN, I can't believe they'd do this. I hope I see a EJ&E painted loco again, I hope I see more than 1, until next time future EJ&E unit

Don't feel too bad SD70ACe Fan, there will always be "Good Old" trains to catch!!!! Gosh, I've had my fair share of "Missing" stuff—as every "Railfan" can't catch "Everything!!!!" There may still be another
"J" loco working now out of Schaefer Yard, Dearborn—EJE SD38-3 #656!!!!

Here's 656 at Schaefer Yard, 6-11-2016 (photo by Nicholas Katz):

Thanks Man, I just wish CN was nice enough to the rail fans at Lansing and brought a EJ&E up to Lansing to do Cory yard duties. Besides you talking about EJ&E SD38-3 #656, I've seen the 656 twice within a 2 month period. Once in Battle Creek, MI and on May, 7 in Flat Rock, MI. I also saw EJ&E 662 & 672 a few weeks ago in Gary, IN. I'm just concerned that all or most of the EJ&Es will be printed into CN before I see another one (which probs won't happen for a while) but still!..

Great... now there's 5 CN painted EJ&E SD38-2/3s running around and they are
CN/EJ&E 658, 664, 666, 668, & NOW 670!!! and the ones I'm aware that are in EJ&E paint are EJ&E 655, 656 (seen it twice) 657, 659, 660, 661, 662 (seen), 663, 665, 667, 669, 671, 672 (seen), 673, 674, 675, & 703. Now if anyone else knows a CN painted EJ&E loco, let me know!!

Thanks

That power came off CN L585 yesterday morning. Train had a total of 4 NS units from NS, the units on 451 were trailing 3rd and 4th. NS 9884 would be the leader.

Three light CN units lead by one running in reverse drifting south down the Holly Sub. from Pontiac just now. Maybe power for an extra doublestack train out of Moterm over the Holly tonight? I will let you know if I see such.

19:28- CN U745 good air test, departing south/east from Partridge with 40-some all-rail ore loads. In the meantime, an LS&I crew is bringing over from Tilden a set of ore Jennies for the CN, which I'm told are loaded with "fines"/waste ore, not some new contract for regular Tilden ore for the CN.

The all-rail ore goes to the steel plant in Ste. St. Marie (still Algoma Steel?). Do you know where the "fines" are going?
