NS intermodal EB on Michigan Line?

I am right now driving along beside an NS intermodal stack train EB on the Michigan line in Battle Creek coming from Kalamazoo!!! Is this a reroute from Elkhart maybe? Never seen any before here.....ns2555 leads with ns8302

Not sure of this is 206 or another train behind 206 but it is a reroute around the derailment on the NYC.

yeah its ns 206 on a reroute from the water level route headed east towards detroit

The Wolverine got held for 206 to pass thru, but is now cleared WB...

It was held near Hinman yard, I think its CP Baron, where CN/NS join and have shared track thru Battle Creek to CP Gord...Wolverine stopped then at BC station and now continued WB...

Did 206 take the NS line east or head up CN toward Pt. Huron?

If they headed east on NS, someone should get the radar gun out and see how real the NS speed restrictions are.

Why would an train that goes towards PA. use the CN except by default at Battle Creek? Train went the Michigan Line and will take the Detroit Line to Toledo and continue East.

the Dearborn DS is calling the 206 right now. they are going to be recrewed at Townline.

Not to ask a noob question here, but it just dawned on me that they have to have crews that are qualified for the detour route, correct? Wonder how many there are any more for GDLK (would it have to be a GDLK crew or can it be an qualified NS crew?) or on the Michigan line from K'zoo to Wayne? I am guessing there aren't too many...

Not enough to run lots of reroutes like in the old days but enough to get the trains that do reroute over the road efficiently and then take another train back.

Got it in Dearborn at Monroe St after work. Went home after it went through. NS 206 destination is Binghamton, NY CP's D&H YD. Would of gone east thru MC tunnel onto CP trackage in Canada or south on MC to Toledo and east back on the LSMS mainline.

Heard there is a stack train in on the Grand Elk right now and possibly 206 to follow after that.

NS #294 is eastbound on the Michigan Line. Might be getting close to Jackson, MI about now.

NS e/b. # 294 is in Jackson, MI waiting for Amtrak # 353 to get by it. At River Rouge, MI is NS "ION" that came North on the Detroit Line and he is go west on the Michigan Line.
