490 is finished at Moterm, and is going to hold at Chrysler for a few minutes until a northbound for the Mt. Clemens Sub clears Milwaukee Junction.

Not sure what train it was, but CN put 4 cars on the ground just east of Capac around 1 am.

According to media reports one of the cars is a tank car that's leaked amonia nitrate but no evacuations for now.

I was going to ask if that would be the case today as I hear yet more horns this morning. Sounds like this will be all day here...not that I'm complaining..

Three trains leaving Pontiac SB 8:40- 9:00

First one was 332, through Fenton/Linden at ~07:45, past Johnson Ave. at 08:40. Did not see the power but Desk 8 talked to CN 2624. They will run to Royal Oak and hold for instructions, they will "run until they're dead"

Next was 148, CN 5685 & 2650, took on a pilot and departed at 08:50.

490 will follow them, CN 2420 & 2133.

NB signal north of Sanderson into the yard had a high green, but I couldn't hang around to see what was coming north.

There was an interesting CN "family" lashup in the yard facing SB north of the car shop: CN 5794, IC 1019, BCOL 4645, GTW 4928 (blue), GTW 5854 (CN repaint)

I wish the Holly were always this busy!

For what its worth WNEM TV-5 showed some video of the derailment area. Snowing big time, not sure if that had anything to do with the wreck. Showed a set of trucks still on the tracks. Still no timeframe when normal traffic would be able to resume.

332 and 490 both came by Moterm between 11:30 and 12. There are 3 SB engines currently waiting at Royal Oak. They were the CN, IC, and BCol that ODave said he saw earlier. At some point they added a bunch of tanker cars to the train. It ended up leaving Royal Oak a little before 3 before it stopped again at 10 Mile to wait for Amtrak 350 to pass.

332 Southbound at 10:15am CN 2624, BCOL 4621, and 5698.

148 Southbound at 11:40am CN 5685 and 2650.

490 Southbound at 11:55am CN 2420 and 2133 - No Work at Moterm.

Amtrak 353 - AMTK 33 and 26.
