CSXT motive power news....

-A rather large update is due for the motive power page...we'll start off with retirements, which are quite broad-
B36-7's 5809, 5837, 5838, 5878 and 5912; B30-7 5537; C30-7 7137; C36-7's 7131, 7133; GP39 4280; SD38 2464; CW40-8 7803; SD40-2's 8101, 8877. This list brings the C36-7 total down to one, which is 7119. It also eliminates a YN3 unit from the roster, that being 4280, mated with YN3 SWMT 1040 (it's always hard to lose a mother). Known wrecked units are 7803, 8101 and 8877, all involved in 2005 derailments.

Onto other tidbits...
-GP39 4293, previously without a mate, has now been mated to 1047, which is recently retired 4289's former mate.
-CSX has added another load test unit at Waycross, GA's Rice Yard locomotive shops. WLO-2 is former B36-7 5829 (which we thought was turned into RCPHG4 9253). It was sighted in fresh YN3 paint, still with it's 5829 numberboards. This unit will accompany WLO-1, which is also in YN3 and is former U36B 5764.
-Recent GP38-2S reclassifications include 6042, 6103, 6139, 6155 and 6245.
-CSX will be acquiring two additional ex-Amtrak F40PH's. The units are coming from Ohio Central as a trade for several retired CSX units. The new F40's will be renumbered 9990-9991 below the existing ones; number slots formerly held by the ex-CR E8 business units, while on their short stint with CSX.

I posted this out of sorts because it is such a large motive power update. 3 6 axles being retired as well as 2 more F units being bought. For more motive power updated use the link posted with the origional post and watch that site as he updates the site often and runs a great site.

Well its about time we picked up some more F40's, as every time I see the bisness train, the two are always seperated, off doing diffrent things, thus necessating, a freight unit to lead.
