BCOL cowl to museum

Unread post by LansingRailFan »

I know a certain someone that’s gonna be thrilled to hear this!!!!!

The Alberta Railway Museum has procured BCOL 4618 from CN.

It went west thru Michigan on M301 over the weekend.

It had been sent to the scrap yard in Welland, ONT.

Supposedly 4618 had caught on fire and thus needed body work, mechanical work and received a new paint job.

BC Rail locomotives are the only ones I know of that has 2 sets of ditch lights!

Try telling the police officer who pulls someone over for trying to beat the train - but officer, I didn't see it! Really?!
