UP Train hits School Bus, 1 Dead

Union Pacific train hit a school bus in Athens, TX, which caused the death of a middle school student. The bus driver was taken to the hospital via ambulance.

I hope to hear the protection had some malfunction.
I hope to hear the bus had some malfunction.
I hope to hear that the driver had a medical problem.
But we will never hear the voice of that child again.

There's some interesting discussion about this on Trainorders. The crossing the bus was hit at may be a factor. It won't bring that kid back though.
