North Carolina CSX Derailment

Found this on Facebook today. Nice video of the CSX derailment near Cary NC over the weekend. Looks like new NREX unit(s) was involved.

Given all the rain and flooding, why didn't they send a hi rail truck ahead of the train to check the tracks and the area?

I'm no expert, but they should have if they didn't. That *should* be a preventable accident. If the washout happened shortly after inspection that's one thing, but if they just sent a train through there at track speed, people need to be fired. No crew deserves to be put in a dangerous situation like that.
