Japan - high speed trains in snow

Interesting to see the sprinklers in use. Said to melt the snow, and to help keep the snow from billowing up into ice chunks that damage the trains at high speed.

Very impressive videos, and a very impressive rail system. Maybe someday america can catch up with the rest of the world.
I stopped into the Ft Lauderdale Amtrak station yesterday, to pick up a schedule. The lady said Amtrak no longer puts out printed schedules, and to go online to see train times. They didn't even have the train time boards on the wall anymore. Must be some kind of budget thing.
Thanks for showing us how things are in the developed countries.
