Train canceled today due to clouds :D

It seems that the people involved actually might make this project a go.
They get a lot of sun down there. Pushing the technology to deliver something like this is a good demonstration.

Like the guy says in the video, there are probably tons of areas in the world that could use this type of technology. For even longer runs I wonder if they could use overhead cantenary to feed the train. Have large solar arrays in various locals along the line and feed the electricity to the overhead. Large hills and heavy freight consists are probably years out but for commuter or tourist lines this appears to be a very inexpensive and viable laternative to internal combustion engines.
