TransKentucky RR operations

Unread post by Fred »

I know the rr was down due to change in coal but understand they were back up & running again. Any info on when or how often they run from Paris to Mayville ?
Thanks

It's my understanding they are only running when they bid on contracts for coal or stone. I don't think they have either right now.

I was there two weekends ago. As stated above, they only run a coal train when they get a contract. They have only run one so far this calendar year. Current business is switching covered hoppers of plastic pellets at the trans-load facility in Paris. They have painted some locomotives in an attractive blue and white scheme. Latest repaint is silver and blue in the same layout. Here is a blue and white and the second photo shows part of the new blue and silver.
