So, I've been working on paper a freelance modern era DT&I. In my world, the DT&I is much larger than it historically was and has survived into the modern era.
My DT&I operated its original trackage from Flatrock to Springfield. At Springfield, it turns south west to Cincinnati. The modern day Dayton District never existed but, neither did the Toledo sub! This gives me a direct connection from Detroit/Toledo to Cincinnati with my competition having to go some what out of their way to compete. What I'm wondering is, if the Toledo sub never existed, reducing the modern day CSX presence in Cincinnati, how would this have effected the LCL Sub to Louisville?
I ask because I'm thinking of including it in my plans giving the DT&I a direct connection.
