Ge's to brazil

Unread post by patrick »

HLCX has decided to get rid of almost all its GE units. HLCX units in the 500 series that were returned from the UP are all but gone. ALL former NS HLGX units (C36-7EM) in the 6800 series are gone. Units 6900 and 6902, which were the only two ge's in the maroon paint are gone. Brazil was also the destination of other GE lease fleets. the former CSXT ex con B36-7's went there. many C-30-7A units from NS Exconrail units went there. Lease fleets that were sold to there include the following.
RMGX
LRCX
ATGX
and a couple others. All are C30-7/SF30C/C36-7/C36-7EM units

I had a chance to see the HLCX 6902 in Fostoria this past year and she looked great. Too bad that once they are in brazil, they'll die in brazil.

What are they going to do to them in Brazil?? I never see old GE diesels here. I wish CSX would run some through East Lansing. I have seen the Central Michigan GEs though. Those FDL Prime Movers are loud! Just how I like them!
