A Huron Central train derailed just East of Soo Ont. Among the consist were two carloads of ties. Looking at the photos in Soo Today, the rail on the siding rolled over likely due to the poor condition of the ties. Photos here:

Whats wrong with sitting on the rail as long as you have authority that no traffic will come through your limits. Beats the hell out of sitting on the ground after fighting with ties all day.
At least the siding had plenty of new ballast to cover the missing spikes and bad ties.
