This was from an individual that "sounds" like he knows what happened. He said he lives in, or near, Slinger, Wisconsin.
--------------------------------------------------
The WSOR freight backed into the interlocking plant after the CN Freight took the "Last intermediate before Absolute" signal. The CN came into town expecting to see a clear at the junction but found all reds and the rear of the WSOR in plant. The CN crew dumped the air and hit the "moving" rear of the WSOR train. CN 2191 was the leader and spun 90 degrees and rolled on its side (engineer's). CN 5775 and 2651 derailed but remained upright and in line with the last car of the WSOR train in front of the 5775. Only three cars of the CN train derailed. Seven cars of the WSOR train were on the ground. A propane tank may have been hit but it did not explode as there wasn't any fire. The WSOR train reported to have air problems after they pulled off of the CN. The CN crew were the only two injuries.
And from another individual:
CN train was traveling at 35 mph at time of impact.
