From April edition of Railfan & Railroad, out in South Dakota two grain elevator projects are about to come to fruition on the Dakota Southern Railway. A new 40 million dollar grain handling facility in Britton and another similar one in Kennebec along with a grain shuttling facility have been planned. Two 10000 foot sidings are planned on the Rapid City, Pierre and Eastern Railway among other projects out that way. And an interchange on the Britton Line is being revamped with new rail and a new wye track at Jarrett Junction.
