New Paint:
NS 3405 (SD40-2) Built 07/1979 As CR 6483
** NOW 16 UNITS IN CR BLUE ON NS **
** 3405 WAS THE LAST BLUE SD40-2 ON NS **

This summer I caught i guess what was the last two SD40-2's, this was a cool consist

I'm sad to see the blue units go, and really want to catch some conrail with no NS or other units... I want to see a pure Conrail train.

And how pre-tell are you expecting to find a pure Conrail train? I'll give you the SD50's and there's a pair out in Illinois but not likely to find one these days sadly

Overhauled:
NS 5339 (GP38-2) Cab was Upgraded, Cab Doors, Floors and Side Windows were Replaced and Sheet Metal Repairs were made as needed, A/C and an Electric Parking Brake were also installed. Built 06/1977 As CR 8172
NS 5358 (GP38-2) Cab was Upgraded, Cab Doors, Floors and Side Windows were Replaced and Sheet Metal Repairs were made as needed, A/C and an Electric Parking Brake were also installed. Built 07/1978 As CR 8213
** 5339 IS IN ===NS PAINT AND 5358 IS IN CR BLUE SO BOTH WILL BE SENT TO CHATTANOOGA FOR REPAINTING **

NS ES44AC 8097 was shoved out to the NS/EEC interchange today, in Primer paint minus the frame down was painted.

Just read on trains mobile that NS is going to accelerate the conrail reprinting. NS plans on having them all reprinted before the heritage units come out

Sad part is that in all reality it is just 6 units, because 9 of them are SD50's
