An Irwin man remains in a UPMC Presbyterian trauma unit this morning after sustaining gruesome injuries while piecing together a Union Railroad train.
Bruce Maglicco, 56, lost an arm and a leg during an accident Thursday at approximately 11:15 p.m. at a Union Railroad yard underneath the Thompson Run Bridge in Duquesne, police said.

Duquesne Police Chief Richard Adams said the man is a conductor with the railroad company.
"I guess they were in the process of building a train and he got caught between two of the cars," Adams said.
A co-worker, who was nearby during the accident, heard Maglicco scream for help and notified authorities.
Duquesne EMS, police and firefighters responded to the scene along with Allegheny County detectives.
Maglicco was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian, where his condition remained unknown as of presstime.
