Even at 8 years old this is better than any version of Elements or any other video or photo editing programs. No one has an excuse to use picasa or anything like that.

Apparently Adobe has been made aware of the problem and they're taking care of the "free" downloads. If you're lucky enough (this stuff is 7 years old) to download it, you'll need to run it in compatibility mode if you're running Windows 7. It may not even work if you're running Windows 8. If you're running a Mac, you'll need a PowerPC machine - Panther or earlier - or Rosetta to get it working.
I say just pay the $149 and get Lightroom 4.
