Video Question
Been noticing on my videos on YouTube a yerking/hesitation in the video? Is this caused by a setting on the camera as I have some video's not on youtube that do this?

Re: Video Question
Quite sure that you set it so that youtube does the auto correction for camera shake. Youtube will try to flatten out any shake that you may have had, but causes things to get distorted and studder. You can see how it bends the cars out of shape when you pan at the 2:39 mark.

Re: Video Question
If you're using the youtube video editor anti-shake tool, dump it.
If you're using a anti-shake tool on your video editor, dump it. If that corrects it, then nothing is wrong with your camera.

Re: Video Question
More than likely it's one of those two reasons. YouTube's video stabilizer is quite possibly the most pointless thing ever. If a video has any movement whatsoever (even if it's not camera movement but movement in the video) it will say it's shaky and ask you to stabilize it. DON'T!
Also, if you're using a tripod you don't need your camera's image stabilizer turned on (which you should be for videoing trains). Another reason that you might have weird motion in your videos is because of rolling shutter as a result of a cheap CMOS censor in your camera.

Re: Video Question
If I'm using the youtube editor on this video is there away to remove it with re-uploading the video or would I be better off just reloading the video? There were a few videos I used youtubes editor on but I'm not sure if this was one of them..

Re: Video Question
I've always had to reload them. What is odd is the first video I put on youtube the stabilzation feature worked great. SInce then I've almost always said no to it. I carry a 2 tripods with me for shooting video. One is a 20+ year old Slik that is very stable. The other is a $5.00 window mount I use for shooting from my SUV. Both work great. Now....if I can only figure out how to get in front of the train in time to set the darn things up everytime....Crow T Robot wrote:If I'm using the youtube editor on this video is there away to remove it with re-uploading the video or would I be better off just reloading the video? Re: Video Question
This one I just found http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgOgVLVS5Sc guess I will be delete and reload the videos. This video looks like somekind of acid trip you start wigging out if you watch the thing. The original is normal.

Re: Video Question
DON'T RE-LOAD IT!!!
1. Go to your name up in the right corner, then click on VIDEO MANAGER
2. Find the video you want to un-edit
3. Click on the Edit button.
4. Click on the "Enhancements" button on the banner
5. Click "re-revt to Original"
Once Youtube has finished doing it's thing, the video will be back the way you uploaded it.

Re: Video Question
Well the change did take the freaky part out of the video but the stuttering is still there. Gonna check the originals to see if its in those..
