Photo Questions
Hey all I was wondering on how you guys upload pictures and insert them into the discussion. Also how to create your own photo gallery in the user galleries. Even though I have been registered for over a month I still have not figured everything out yet. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
My train pictures can now be found at:
http://trainman86.rrpicturearchives.net
And my train videos at:
http://www.youtube.com/trainman1986
My website, dedicated to my layout, "The Fast Lane" (still under construction)

Sorry this took so long Justin
Photo Gallery
Create/order my albums
click new type in name of album
click on upload file
select pic you want upload by using browse
continue
after upload place in your album
putting pic in discussions like this
http://railroadfan.com/gallery/displayi ... pos=-17121
go to gallery highlight the URL like this but with no brakets
{http://railroadfan.com/gallery/displayi ... pos=-17121}
copy and past to the message
like this
if you want clickable thumbs
OK this is how I set it up
then you have to add an = sign between the l and the bracket on your first url like this
I will use one of your pics for an example
Link to this page: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPi ... ?id=176873
Copy this portion
http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPi ... ?id=176873
copy that between the = sign and the right bracket
Like this
Then go to your thumbnail right click go to properties click open the window
Copy the address URL
http://ccaranna.rrpicturearchives.net/p ... orth-2.jpg
insert it betreen the [img] [img]
It will look like this
[img]http://ccaranna.rrpicturearchives.net/p ... -2.jpg[img] I removed the / slash from the last img so you could see what it looks like.
so for your clickable thumb it will look like this
URL FROM YOUR PICTURE]
Hope this helps somewhat
