THIS ONE IS GOOD. TRY SENDING IT IN. IF REJECTED, REASON WILL MOST LIKELY BE "BACKLIT".

Actually, I think that the cropping on picture 2 is nice, seeing as it shows the train, plus the direction that the track goes. I'd say to put this one in the first batch.

Hi Scooterb,

I'm going for it...and then I'll add one of my own and YOU guys can guess. As far as scooter's:
  • 1. High sun

    2. Underexposed, maybe?

    3. Distracting shadows

    4. Same as 3

    5. High sun

    6. High sun

    7. High sun

    8. High sun

    9. Underexposed

    10. High sun or underexposed

    11. High sun

    12. High sun or soft/blurry

    13. High sun

    14. High sun or underexposed
Those shots are all pretty good to me, though High sun is a tough one to get around. In my experience, it seems that if they reject anything for High sun, bad angle, or bad motive, there's no way there gonna take it.

I understand they want to have "high standards" but they're going to come to the realization that they're going to alienate everyone that takes pictures! There's only going to be a dozen or so people left uploading shots!

Here's mine that was rejected. It was originally rejected for "unlevel", which I fixed, but then rejected again for "__________". (fill in the blank)

I'd say High Sun on your's Chuck.
I personally see nothing wrong with it, and I really like it a lot.

I was gonna say "patrick", which is "foreground clutter" I like the photo quite a bit myself.

Very good topic Scott, good thinking. I think we may need a photography studio category on these boards...what say you guys?

I agree Zack, If we are to become better photographers, we need to comment honestly on eachothers photos, and learn from eachother.

Some bad angles can be saved by cropping a little different.

Hey Scott,

I think they all look pretty good, but I do agree, they (just like mine) have "High Sun" or are "Underexposed". I figured that the BNSF pic would get accepted, nice angle and good lighting.

Also, Patrick, I agree with you on "Kill Them All"

Great Idea Too!
