"Horizon Unlevel" Help Please

Unread post by bnsfben »

I am getting "Horizon Unlevel" a lot on RP. I was wondering how to fix that? Is it as simple as tilting the image one way or another? Here are some of my shots that got Horizon Unlevel. If you could help me with each one that would be great!

First two to me look like they are tilted to the right?? Maybe a little left rotation. Last one I think is more of a cropping issue.

Railpictures.net certainly can, but RrPicturearchives.net rarely does.

But yes, first two need about a degree of CCW rotation. Last one cropping got you as Crow mentioned.
Which editor do you run your pics through Ben?

Railpics rejects far more than it accepts. Just looking at queues and then amounts accepted I would say only around 25% of submissions make the cut.

Ben, first two need a bit of ccw rotation. The last one has too many issues to make RP even with leveling.

Thanks for the help guys! Zack, I just use the basic Picasa off Google. I haven't spent the money on Photoshop... and yes, I know, it's probably worth it. I just dont feel like spending the money when the come out with a new photoshop so often.

Ben,

Photoshop Elements is cheap and allows you to rotate, do color enhancements, and many other things. It is also easy to use.

Try the program "Paint.Net". Its a free open source editor. Not as powerful as Photoshop imo but a good alternative if $$$ is tight. I used it until I got my mac for school that has photoshop on it.
