Half of Chase Gunnoe's photos don't have trains in them! :?

Does it matter if there's no train in the shot? Some of my favorite pictures don't have a train in them.

...But a picture of a lock, for example, doesn't really scream railroad photography at me. Even if it says C&O! :o

It's all about personal opinion. Honestly, a C&O lock screams railroad history to me. Hell, I've even come to accept the shots of rail that people were putting up for awhile.
