Cut the left side some, and add some frame on the right to get the signal off the edge.

I would go vertical on this one.

If you have more frame you need more on the right and less on the left. If you don't have more frame ,cut off the right and go vertical using the right side of the Edison Pole as the left side of your photo. Go 8 x 10 or whatever other common ratio you may use from there to get your right side a balanced distance from the loco.
