They must be super-nit-picky last night, that's a great shot and I don't really see anything significant wrong with it. The only thing I can suggest in line of editing it for them is perhaps darken the highlights just a touch - I think their problem is more with the lighter parts of the picture (snow isn't blown out but very bright, background a little washed out although it "really looks that way" this time of year under those conditions) but I don't think you can increase the contrast or the darker parts without causing them to look bad.

Good luck,
Michael

Should I appeal perhaps, or darken the highlights a bit and resubmit?

Too litle contrast. The red looks dull.

The red is fairly dull on that unit. Look at all the other colors, they seem to look fine to me? I dunno Matt, maybe you're right. I'll play with it more.

Well Matt, I guess you were right! Bumped the contrast up about +7 and got it on right away. Thanks guys! Linky: http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=354419

Good job getting it on, but the colors look a little "juiced" in the one that made it whereas I think the original looks a little more real/natural. I mean the blue in the trailing unit is almost glowing! Maybe it's just my monitor but I think sometimes they lean towards the "more perfect than real" side with what they want/accept. At any rate, like I said on flickr great job of getting a nice shot of 'em at a very identifiable location.
