So last night I put a shot in the queue at 10 after midnight and it was accepted by 1 am but the date said accepted to the data base on the 21st! I feel cheated on the date. so now i guess i have to try another one today.

I believe their servers run on Central time, so according to their site, their 24 hour period runs from 1am till 1am eastern time.

Looks like Y@, magnum, jon, and Aaron have fallen to the wayside, good efforts though guys. I'm still in for now, and Aleks is basically there if you could him forgetting to submit the first day of the contest..heck, i may have forgotten if Y@ didn't remind me in the afternoon :)

This one got canned for - Poor lighting (Backlit): The image is backlit or doesn't feature enough light on the nose or visible sides of the subject.

That was kind of the point, to be backlit with some cool light contrast..ohs well.

Shooting a subject backlit is always the point, but it doesn't mean the shot is going to look good.

Well Im back to the world of the living. I was working in Grand Rapids. Did 70 hours last week, Living in a hotel and only had a lap top. The challenge just got to be a bit much for that schedule. I was happy with my run though. I had a straight 42 day run untill work got in the way. Theres your next challenge Zack, Beat 42 days. LoL.

Nah, the month of March was good enough for me. I barely edited any new photos during that time, hoping to get more edited up these next few weeks. Was fun enough trying to get one through a day though. Almost forgot on a couple of days.

I'm working on it. 48 shots up in 36 days so far. Last couple have been good as both shots submitted each day have made it.

I submitted a shot of a CN geep in the yard which was I thought a good bet to get in. I also tried what I though was a fringe acceptance shot, a close-up of the same unit showing a pair of chairs that someone took from the coffee shop at the station and put on top of the geep. They both made it in back to back. I'm both happy and suprised. I normally never try submissions like this but I guess you never know till you try.

So what's the longest span anyone has went without a rejection?

My last rejection was November 10th, 2010, and I've put 17 shots on since without having a do-over.

I've had streaks of 22 and 19 consecutive before, but anything after that is in the single digits.

Well all good things must come to an end. I had a good run but ran into a brick wall today.
Screeners were not letting much on last night and early today at all. When I submitted last night there were a dozen or so in the cue including mine and not one was accepted. When I found out inthe morning I put 2 more on and at the time there were about 8 or so and all of those were rejected so that made 20 or so that all got canned.
Someone had a bad mothers day or something.
Anyway my final tally was:
68 straight days
85 shots accepted.
