One of your shots needs to be disqualified for today.
1, I disagree, it counts.

2, show me where these "rules" are.

Get a shot on every day, what other rule can there be!?
I say it doesn't count. It's the same train, at the same freakin' spot on the same freakin' day! Just a different crop. Try being original dude!

HERE's YOUR ORIGINAL
http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.p ... 511&nseq=1

OMG! You mean the shot you are crying about is the SECOND one for me today? Yes I believe it is. So Who CARES!
Not to mention the fact that the Second shot here was added Pryor to this challenge ever starting. So how it has ANYTHING to do with this challegne is beyond me. And I wouldn't say different crop, That would imply the same Frame, I would say that this is a TOTALLY different photo.

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.p ... 517&nseq=0

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.p ... 82&nseq=30

For the record, Those are Same train same day same location, TWO different frames of an action sequence that make it TOTALLY DIFFERENT! It's not like a regular train shot where all that is different is how much scenery is blocked. This is snow flying and it's WAY COOL.

Y@, I love ya man! But your off base on this one.

I disagree, Y@ is not off base at all and it has nothing to do with this competition which is not a competition at all.

So lets say there is a derailment happening right in front of you. You take a series of shots and each is a bit different.
Are we saying that for some reason that because it is Railpictures.net, that ONLY ONE of the shots should be allowed to be posted?
I think people many want to see each frame as it happens. On Flicker the whole series would be right there together in a row. So why should RP be so different.
Where did this whole idea come from that it is not acceptable to post more than one photo of a particular train at a spot?
In general I guess I agree to some extent. But an action sequence is different.

Meh, if the screeners at railpics.net don't see it as being "similar to previous photo", then it really isn't...unless they are forgetting his previous photo. Train in movement, plowing like a mofo, awesome action.
Now, did you see the two top 24 pics yesterday? Two shots that looked just about the same, same STOPPED train, with two different jets flying overhead..lame. They accepted those even though there was very little difference in my opinion, and they were very popular anyway.

These two shots: Image and Image
are more of a similar photo to me than these two:

They are both quite similar. Similar to the point where RP could live without one of each...

But we can't let the opportunity to win the challenge slip by! ;)

Although I have been getting shots in each day I thought for as long as the links stay active I would post some off my rejects. I just shake my head at and wonder with some of them.

I am out and I really don't care, I could really give two hoots in hell about views and I see no challenge in posting sunny wedges everyday or uploading two frames taken a split second apart of the same train.

Uploaded a shot and got it rejected for high sun at 6 PM in the evening and didn't much care to try again.
Had more important things to do yesterday, which included looking at hundreds of photos that kicked major butt and likely only a tenth of them or so would have made it on RP and since everytime I go on RP I have to close about 5 different pop ups, why the hell would I want to go there anyway.

Sorry, rant over. I will stick with Flickr and slideshows in my basement.

They can be picky, You have some really nice shots by the way.

That Last reject of CSX 7861 is kind of High Sun due to the shadows on the trucks and under the dynamic break housing.

The night shot I think is just a Poor lighting reject due to the Over exposed ballast and under exposed right hand more distant portion. I think it could have been better stated as uneven lighting.

The CN 5642, Nice shot. I kind of disagree with all of their reasons. That I beleive should have made it.

Your first link didn't work for me.

Looks like the 1st link dropped off the reject list as it had been 7 days.
The 2nd one of the Triple Crown is just as good as that one from the same location.
The funny thing about the high sun reject that the 1st 2 got was that the train I shot between them at the same location made it.
The link that doesn't work now was actually by that location 10 min before the shot of the next train they did accept.
As for high sun the 1st reject was at 10:04
The one they accepted was at 10:10 and the next reject, the Triple Crown was at 10:18am.
I have no idea what the forground clutter is in that shot either.
As for the CSX shot that was at 5:52pm.
By the way I like your shots as well, thanks.

I would say about 5% of what I shoot total ends up on Rail pictures.net, with the rest going on Flickr.

I'm out, got 3 rejections for bad color today. Eh, oh well, I'd say 16 days in a row is pretty good! :)

Better than what I did! But then I got side-tracked by a woman and spending evenings with her was a hand's down win vs. staying home to upload to rp.net...

Railohio wins the flickr challenge pretty handily, he has over 3000 photos on there. I don't think anyone else even comes close.

Flickr is still way more fun to look through then RP.
