Help with a B&W

Ive been trying to help my Uncle Jim out with a shot. I am not a B&W guy and really dont know how or if this can be fixed. Any Ideas?

Perhaps they didn’t like the wires in the foreground. The scene looks too busy for my liking. I don’t really care about the lack of nose light, but I know a lot of other people do! :wink:

The whites are blown out in many places.
