PIQ Help

Unread post by bnsfben »

Well I have never had a rejection for PIQ, so I was wondering if these shots are "fixable." Any help would be great!

The first one is extremely unlevel. With the monitor I'm looking with now, I can't really tell any blatant poor image quality, but maybe someone else can point it out and help.

Agree with the unlevel comment. There is also not nearly enough sunlight. Might have had something to work with if the shot had been taken an hour or two earlier/later (depending on whether it was dawn or dusk).

I think the PIQ comes from them being so small! Horizontal images should can be up to 1024 wide, use it! Vertical images can be 1000 tall, use that too!

Well, The first shot is Unlevel, Distracting Shadows and maybe some poor lighting as well as maybe some hight issues.

1024 x 683 is a sweet spot.

The second one has the same issues.

I would keep them in the "persona"l collection.

The sky and tops of the trees in the background look very grainy, especially in the second one. I also agree with the unlevel, shadows, etc the others have stated.

Nice job! I didn't think it would make it due to the shadows. Nice work.

Good job, Ben. See, a few basic photo processing skills go a long way! :)
