Yeah, I call it "almost DCC".
I couldn't remember the brand, was in a blue box, lol.
I almost got it, but now, I think I will get it.

DR now that you have had time to play with it, how does it compare in pulling power next to the Proto 2000? Im not worrried about the sound, I will get a sound decoder later, just wondering about the pulling.

Yup, Bachmann HO 2-8-4's, DCC decoder equipped. For the price it's an awesome engine. Not as much detail as the Proto Heritage units but still as good as any other plastic steamer out there. Pulls a lot more than the P2K, too. I've got #1225 and love it to death.

Jon, what have you been smokin b/c I want some!!!
When compared to the Proto berk the Bachmann don't pull much. The Proto berk has the option to have the number 4 driver with a drive tire where as the Bachmann doesn't have the option. Other than that a nice loco.
Now I only have to get the other number, 1218 and then a NKP 765 to partially complete my berk roster.

I haven't installed the traction tire on my Proto Berk yet so that's probably why. I think in terms of weight the Bachmann feels heavier, I know there were always comments about the P2K's being light. Next up is another Bachmann one to renumber to 1223.DR wrote:Jon, what have you been smokin b/c I want some!!!
