Does anyone know where I could get my mitts on either the older Con-Corr/Atlas GP38's..or some newer Atlas GP38's for cheap without using Ebay??

You could check out the Toledo Model Train Show on Dec 29 & 30 at the Lucas County Fairgrounds, 2901 Key St (actually in Maumee, Ohio). Hours are from 11am to 4pm each day. Web page at

http://www.toledotrainshow.com/index.html

I've found lots of stuff at various train shows over the years, you may find what you're looking for there!

I plan on being there at least on Saturday with the Rails on Wheels folks.
