HO Modern New York Central

Unread post by Ypsi »

In version 1203 of my layout we have finally (chuckle chuckle) settled on a layout and new room. I have been working on a modern New York Central railroad set up as a regional railroad between Buffalo and Chicago. Our layout is between Willow Run yard in Ypsilanti and Mile post 33 on the Michigan line. We have willow run yard, Ypsi yard, and some small businesses. Our first locomotive is NYC 1069, a custom cigar band SD70ACe. It is seen with a triple crown train. Plans call for more custom locomotives to give the road a modern regional feel, as well as completed bench work this week.

Sounds like it would compete with my fictional modern Lehigh Valley where LV purchased the NKP from the Van Swearigan brothers and continued to run Big ALCOs all the way to Bellvue and on to Chicago. These run troughs did happen btw I have a picture of LV ALCOs in Bellvue
What smells like lube oil and diesel.... Oh wait it's just my "Locomotive Breath"
