Lansing Train Show 2016

Unread post by ThatRailfanningKid »

In case anyone wasn't aware, or forgot, the Lansing show is this Sunday, Nov. 13th. They usually have a pretty good selection, but it's a popular show, so if you don't show up early, things end up being pretty picked over.

Edit: show goes from 10-4.

Each year I go, I'm always amazed by how low some vendors' prices are. I think that's a big part of the reason I go back as often as I can.

It's also a lot of fun to see people from around the state, something that doesn't happen at the Detroit area shows...

The best show in Michigan,, because it draws sellers from the area. One table sellers who just want to clean out the basement. Shows in Detroit are the same old dealers with the same old Tyco, Bachman stuff... I need another shelve in the bookcase now.. And saw a lot of friends..

Grabbed the C&O Michigan Vol 2 and the C&OHS E7/8 book myself. Quite the steal. Almost every Morning Sun book you could think of that guy had. And... $15 for the first and $10 for each additional was AWESOME.

That was a helluva deal! I paid around $40 each online, for Trackside Around Downriver Detroit, Trackside Around Atlanta, Southern Railway, and New York Central, maybe 10 years ago.
