PHHHHHH (or how ever that is spelled)

People are getting impatient? Poop on them, I have one on order, but that is nothing to what Atlas has been doing to people. Cry some more people. I ordered two Atlas Gensets as soon as they were anounced. They were announced August 2009, supposed to be in January 2010, and just got put on a container (this is from Atlas) in mid August, to be distributed by Atlas to distribuators in mid September, there by actually making it to my house by early october. A year and two months from the announce ment. Heck the ACe's are not even "past due" yet.

An engine that came out 5 years ago has been announced in high quality plastic and you're complaining!? :P The C40-8W came out in what, 1991 or 1992 and were common as all hell, and it took Atlas until 2004 to do a nice model of it. I'm amazed they're doing the NRE 3GS21B's as well, those are 3 years old, maybe?

While you may not like them, Bachmann has had C40-8 and C40-8W's out for a long time. C40-8's were out way back in the late 80's like 89 or so. The 8W's just a few years after the real ones were released.

From Athearn's Facebook page: "ACE UPDATE: We received word that our container held up in customs for the last 2+ weeks has finally released (not-so-great timing and we're sorry) and so our BNSF ACEs are en route and should be shipping out soon. All other roadnames are currently scheduled to ship November (Our Long Beach quality department held some back and required rework because we won't ship unless they give two thumbs up)"

I just scored a CN SD 75I, with working ditch lights from Athearn.
