crews have started construction on the Jennifer Lynn Bridge over the K-Zoo River at Enfield. It will be a double track curved plate girder deck bridge. It is not my intention to build a prototypically correct bridge as much as something functional and "pretty" as it were. Using 1/32 birch plywood for deck and girders. One more set of girders to go then working on the side stiffeners and girder flanges after sanding edges smooth. Piers will be cast from plaster when time.

Re: Kalamazoo & Lansing
the bridge....is built.....
was offered some used (but free) Micro-Engineering 80' bridge girders so I "skinned" the existing bridge...added some 1/24x1/24 sills painted girders in "lamp black" and deck in "slate grey" sills "burnt umber"...
for piers I used HorriblyOversize Woodland Scenics "cut-stone" retaining walls...cut and ripped ass needed
used leftover wall pieces glued back to back for piers which will be painted a dark granite color..
temporary trackage and wiring...the K&L's bridge #1 mp 1.1, the "Jennifer Lynn Bridge" enters service

a "worst case scenario" has taken place on the K&L RR....its been abandoned.....
family has moved into our own home instead of a rental....the K&L Rwy will return soon in a new form with some saved parts.....
