NS C39-8's

Unread post by Railnut »

Just read over on Loconotes that NS has retired the last C39-8's. The retirement does not include, though, the C39-8E's.

Does that include the batch of former Conrail C39-8s (8200-8213)??
As far as I know, those units were the only batch that hadn't lost a member.
They may just be storing some of the units too. They've done that before.

From what I read, NS had removed them from the computers..so they are now off the roster, No distinction was made with regards to heritage..the only C39's remaining on the NS computers are the C39-8E's.
