Amtrak Phase II rolls again

Photo evidence online suggests Amtrak P42 #130 is freshly outshopped in Amtrak's heritage phase II paint scheme, to replace the wrecked #66 from a few years ago. I'm surprised but pleased to see this tradition continue long after Amtrak's 40th anniversary has come and gone. I guess #66 must really be done.

Went west from Chicago on March 28 on the California Zephyr

66 is reported to have a bent frame and apparently has a date coming up with the torch.

And I definitely give Amtrak a thumbs up for painting 130 in phase II.

Unrelated, but since I've seen this posted everywhere, I figure I could help spread the word. P42s are monocoques

Let me reword my response to be more appropriate :D

66 is reported to have too many wrinkles and apparently has a date coming up with the torch.
