Weekend of October 7th and 8th. Meetup mid-day Saturday at Deshler Ohio's Crossroads Park, stay for camping, and hang as late Sunday as you all would like. Stop on by and meet some of the familiar names you see posting here.

I'd suggest carpooling for the meet as usual and you can use this thread for setting up carpooling, or PM another member that you know is going. Sorry it's a bit later notice than I usually like to give, but hopefully we can get a good turnout and enjoy relaxing at the park for the weekend. For those that don't attend these meets, it's a very laid back atmosphere. Bring a lawn chair, use one of the new picnic tables and relax. There's a shelter on site, along with a porta-potty. Firepit will likely be used at night. Supermarket nearby to get food/beer, couple restaurants in town. Feel free to come and go as you please. You'll likely see some of us will chase trains north/south/east/west out of town at some parts of the day, and make our way back to the park afterwards.
No hotels very close nearby...closest ones are in Findlay OH about 20-25 miles away. Tents/pop-up campers are fine at the park, 110v outlets at the shelter, free use, but we encourage donations to the park to keep things free and open.

Also had good luck with hotels in Defiance, OH. Not quite as out of the way for us Michigan folks.

Isn't there a hotel by the freeway, on the east side of North Baltimore?

The Crown Inn has been abandoned for years. It supposedly had a fire.

I'm shooting to be down sometime Saturday afternoon... possibly into Sunday. it seems like everything is scheduled for the same weekend in October this year.

Work plans got delayed for quite a few weeks, but I'm still planning on attending. If anyone wants to carpool with, let me know as I'll be able to head back to MI later on Sunday.

What time does it open and close on Saturday? What time does it open and close on Sunday? I would like to know so that there is a possibility I can be down there at a reasonable time. The park doesn't close, it's open 24/7. We'll just be hanging out at the park most of the day Saturday, some will spend the night at the park, then railfan during the day Sunday until they feel like departing. No set time for arrivals or departures for anyone in particular. I'll likely get into town early afternoon Saturday and leave later afternoon Sunday.

Like ~Z~ said, you can come and go when you want, our meets are very informal. The park is always open. Come in the middle of the day or in the middle of the night.
I plan on arriving Friday night and staying through Sunday.
