Good spots for trains.

Unread post by Evan »

Howdy friends,
I don't normally post here. I am just looking for new places to watch trains. Places I've been are listed below.
MI:
Lansing, Durand, Lapeer, Imlay City, Pt. Huron.
OH: Some town west of Deshler, Deshler, Bloomdale, Galetea, Fostoria, Vickers, Milbury, Berea, and Greenwich.
CN in MI has dwindled down traffic wise and with Ohio spots they are either lousy for photos and are usually over run with the noobs that don't grasp the idea of a "photo line".
Any state is welcome, I am very bored with the listed areas and would like a new spot to watch.

If you're willing to Venture, the BNSF Transcon in Illinois is a recommendation of mine. Also, the "racetrack" on the Burlington west of town.

Closer to home, the NS Chicago line between Porter and Goshen is also highly recommended.

La Plata MO
Arguably the best spot along the Transcon BEFORE you get too-far west.

Romulus, Wyandotte, Waterloo Indiana.
