Weekend of May 21-22. Saturday starting in the morning, meet in Wauseon OH on Depot St to watch Norfolk Southern action. Take off early evening and head to Deshler Crossroads Park for camping. Hang in Deshler for a good while on Sunday. Only 36 miles between the two cities. Wauseon is just 12 miles south of the Michigan border, so still close to those in Michigan. If Deshler is too far for some in MI, stop on by for a while Saturday in Wauseon and meet some of the familiar names you see posting here.

I'd suggest carpooling for the meet as usual and you can use this thread for setting up carpooling, or PM another member that you know is going.

If anyone can think of any major reason that date doesn't work, let me know and we can modify it.

I'm tentatively aiming for heading down early on Friday, and spending Fri night in Deshler as well.

I'll probably head down on Friday as well. Probably try to ride some of the area bike trails on that day.

Oh, darn, I'll be in London that weekend. Too bad.

I will probably be coming to this one. 3 months is a little early to tell, as I just had mandatory overtime last weekend, with about 24 hrs of notice. I'll know by 5/20/16.

I like! Early enough so no conflicts with summer weekend stuff.

Tentatively scheduled OT for Flint Truck, I'll see if I can get the weekend off.

I believe some of the guys from this area are planning on being in Fostoria (and area) that weekend

Well I can't go to this meet but I can go to SRI that weekend. WTF.

I am 75 percent going on Saturday, But only to Deshler probably be there between 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Is it okay that i am only 13 years old and my mom has to drive me down there. Is it okay if my mom takes me down there? And one more thing It will be better for me if you guys could come to deshler a bit early? Because I normally leave my dads house around 12:00 pm So I get there at around 1:00 pm. I dont like really like Wauseon for rail fanning because i hit at the bad times only 2 trains in 3 hours. But I love Deshler

Chances are most RRfan-related folk will be in Wauseon for those times. However, there will be a horn honk group in Deshler for that afternoon. I'm not sure if they're gonna piss the downtown off or do it off in a nearby field, perhaps samtk55 can chime in there.

The meets are open, especially so since we're in public territory. There is zero reason why you can't ever go to the Deshler Park. Maybe there are a lot of unfamiliar people, but no group holds the right to keep anybody else out.

I myself, am not sure if I'll be backtracking to Wauseon on Saturday or sticking around Deshler for the horn madness. But I should be down there by evening Friday and staying through midday Sunday. I'm at least a few will have a similar sort of schedule.

You should probably ask her. There is no rule that you can't bring your parent(s) to a meet. She wouldn't even be the first parent at some sort of meet- back when there was more traffic in Durand and the other board was regularly holding meets there, several attendees brought their parents (or their parents brought them?).
