Railroadfan.com 2015 2nd Meet - Fostoria/Deshler 9/12-9/13

Saturday Sept 12th in Fostoria Ohio, and Sunday Sept 13th in Deshler Ohio. Admin will be sleeping in Deshler on Fri night, then spend early morning until 6pmish in Fostoria, then back to Deshler for Saturday night, camp/drink, then spend a good amount of the day in Deshler on Sunday.

Deshler: free camping, has electricity, fire pit, outhouse, local bar, gas stations for beer, grocery store, shelter, and restaurants within 3 blocks walking distance. Feel free to make a donation in the dropbox in the shed at Deshler to help keep the railfan park open.

Bring chairs, tents, and if anyone has pallets of wood, we can keep the fire going.
Remember to make plans to carpool with others if wanted, and let me know any questions you may have.

Not calling this the fall meet as it's technically in summer, but it'll be the 2nd meet of the year Hope to see many of you there....new members, come on down and introduce yourself. You can stay the entire time, or stop by for a few minutes, whatever you'd like.

I hope to be able to make to this year's "fall" meet. I haven't been to Fostoria since the new rail park opened.
I think I have enough heads-up at work to maybe put in for a couple of vacation days and make it a long weekend for me.

I plan on being there. We are scheduled to work that Saturday but I'm gonna blow a personal day Getting paid time and a half to railfan and have some cold beverages sounds good to me

I will land in Dooshler on that Friday night also.

Booked off the store for the weekend. I think I'll try getting down to Deshler
Friday night. Hopefully I'll get all the way there instead of 7/8ths of the way
and then crashing again.

I heard one of the local meteorologists out of South Bend refer to tomorrow, August 31st, as being the last day of meteorological summer, the first day of meteorological fall being on Tuesday, September 1st.
So having a meet in September can be considered a "Fall Meet.", at least meteorologically speaking.

I will be later than expected. Grandfather-in-law passed away last night, was quite close to him, funeral is on Saturday early afternoon in Muskegon. I tentatively plan on arriving in Deshler Sat night, hoping to make dinner, but at least making the drunken night around the firepit. Will stay around Deshler Sunday as late as people are there. Enjoy Fostoria for me. Anyone need a ride mid-day Saturday in Muskegon/GR/Lansing?
