Best place in Ontario/Quebec

I will be taking a 3-week vacation to Canada staring Monday, and I was hoping to go railfanning at least one day. Since I know virtually nothing about the Canadian rail network, I was wondering if anybody knew any great places in the Southern Ontario/Montreal area for trains (preferably small towns and cities). If anybody can inform me of a nice place to sit for the day and any traffic information that would be helpful! Thanks!
