I thought I'd start a thread for this since a lot of power swaps have taken place since GWI acquired RA. I've been doing my best to keep tabs on the MI properties, any help and/or corrections are appreciated. Also need some help on what units have been patched and or renumbered. Feel free to post for other states as well.

We had a list created right after the merger, but I had it focused on repaints...

We had the 2019, but it has been these 6 months since then until the 3000 appeared...



I don't have an opinion about whether we keep this thread, that thread, merge, whatever is fine with me if we go that route...

KRR 3803 is now on the TPW, I believe in Peoria, with the KRR 3802. Both are not running.

Ah, thank you Tops. I had heard rumors that it wasn't around anymore but no one could confirm if it was actually gone or just stuffed in the shop.

NECR 3852 should be the HESR 2027 now. It is working out of Alma.
CMGN 2014 was just recently or is still in the process of being renumbered to HESR 2028.
CMGN 8804 was renumbered to HESR 2026 about 2 weeks ago.

They finished the generator install on 3801 today. When I left they were filling the cooling system and had 73 pulled out next to it as a "Jump Pack". I am guessing it was running by the end of today.

Speaking of 73, sounds like it's going to be orange very soon.

I saw the 2028 today the old 2014 i can confirm new number it looks a lot different the CMGN markings are totally painted over with matching grey paint to go with the rest of the unit.

I saw HESR 3866 in Reese, Michigan last week. It has not been renumbered yet.

CORP 3838 and 3826 (not sure which one came from the I&O) have been renumbered HESR 2025 and 2029.

This thread is super as I have been following ALL of the nearly 100 G&W rail properties across the USA, along with every locomotive that has been painted into G&W orange paint.....or, those that have become renumbered to the new G&W roster numbering plan. I search daily for new ones, and this thread will specifically help for my own home state.

Your right Midland the HESR 2029, ex CORP 3838 nee CORP 5153 used to be on the I&O, I found pics i took of her back in late 1997 and early 1998 in Carleton and Flat Rock back in the early days of the I&O. The first pics i took of the 3838 up here where in the summer of 2004 in Bay City, I think it arrived a few months after RA acquired the CMGN.

It was used on the I&O's Greenfield Sub (old B&O main across southern Ohio) until the fall of 2001 when Cargill closed their grain elevator on the line. Not sure when it left the I&O for Michigan.

MMRR 3836 and KRR 3801 have left the Michigan Shore as of August 28th. Unknown where they are bound for.

I can confirm that MMRR 3836 and KRR 3801 were indeed on D70028 today enroute to GRR, picked up at Holland. They were dropped off at Holland by MS on 8/27 early in the morning.
