4823 was repainted some time ago, but has apparently never left Huntington since. Thanks for the report, though.

In other news, 9969 is now a GP40WH, instead of a GP40-2 as CSX originally placed it.

So... since it's classed as a GP40WH, is it keeping the widecab?

We canned the remainder of the RCO Drone fleet today, so you can kiss those goodbye and good riddance.

Asterisk says the 9156 and 9151 are not yet officially retired, but both have had their RCO brains stripped, and are thus worthless piles of junk, although I'm sure some would argue they always were anyway...

It also takes the YN2 total down to 999...

The roster now totals 4251 units

I don't know if I'd say good riddance. They served a purpose. Better than the RCO flats, but I think some of those are still floating around out there. Those RCO shells allowed any unit laying around to be pressed into RCO service if needed. Something you can't do if you have a mechanical failure on the one or two RCO unit(s) you have assigned.

Last I knew, that 9151 was still kicking around in Lima OH yards a week or so ago. Need to swing by there and see if they've done anything to it...

I noticed that all the GE based RC "drones" that were long parked at Stanley Yard are now gone. Shuffled off for conversion to razor blades I'm guessing?

A few have been sent up to Grand Rapids for stripping of their RCO components to be installed in actual locomotives.

Drones confirmed to be in GR are the 9151 (Assigned to Lima, OH), 9156 (Assigned to GR), 9249 (Assigned to GR), and sleds 9178 and 9197.

Maybe a few more sleds, too

CSXT 2429 was involved in an apparent sideswipe accident in Toledo. Looks like she'll need a new cab... no injuries.

Three of the new GP38-3s are out and testing, paired together running between Cincinnati and Lima.

These are the three newest units of the four that have been sent out so far. At this point, we are not certain of the old numbers on the 02 and 03...

I believe the old road numbers for CSX GP38-3's #2002 and 2003 are:

...CSX GP38-3 #2002 - CSX GP38-2 #2809 (YN2). ex-CR.
...CSX GP38-3 #2003 - CSX GP38-2 #2621 (YN2).

Are the GP38-3s and GP40-3s being rebuilt from active or stored/out of service units.

2621 was being looked at to be one of the two. What is your source? PM me if desired.
