Uh, why not? As already stated, NS 8098 is en route to Conway for activation.

Wow, that Conrail locomotive looks GREAT! I love Big Blue! And I'm glad they went with the standard Conrail scheme rather than Conrail Quality. The smaller "Conrail" lettering across the nose hearkens back to some of the older units and earlier blue paint jobs Conrail had where the text was a bit smaller than in later years. The front end is going to look a little strange though, since Conrail did have wide-cab GE's with an essentially identical front end, except for the placement of all the accessories! No class lights on 8098, high numberboards (where Conrail's were always low) and a low headlight case (where Conrail's were always high). The new version doesn't look bad, indeed, I kind of like how it's a little different from the original Conrail's.

I can't wait to see what comes out next!! :D

Looks like the C of G engine should be one of the next to go in for paint. Last I knew it was still in primer in Chattanooga.

I was thinking more along the line of Ohio in general. But unless your in the "in-the-know" groups, its gonna be a crap shoot. You may or may not get one. But with the Michigan Line, Detroit Line, and Detroit District so close your bound to see a few. More than the UP Heritage Units I would think. And that's just fine with me. Especially when I see that Wabash unit crest the hill west of Romulus in great nose light ;)

I would not bet on it. I am hearing they are going to be put in coal service just like all the other AC's NS has. I would look for them on coal trains assigned to there tetory maybe. How many eastern coal trains go west to Chicago?
