STERLING YARD

9:00am. Switches industries north of the yard; Ford Axel, Ford Transmission, MNP and Shueret.

5:00pm. Switches industries south of the yard; Chrysler docks and stamping; Detroit Newg.

Originates

31M
Loaded Chrysler Racks to Elkhart.

Terminates

26K or 29N
Empty Autoracks. 31M's counterpart. Will sometimes drop autoracks off at North Yard or Livernois and light power to Sterling for 31M the next day.

B-35
Arrives at Sterling from Oakwood around noon and brings in and moves out Sterling cars.

B-38
Arrives at Sterling from Oakwood around 7:00pm and brings in and moves out Sterling cars.

Don't forget about LV-7, operates on Jct yd line for Det salt & Rouge Steel
Also LV-35 operates as a transfer job between Livernois & River Rouge, I'm sure Mr Bentley will fill you in on times

Does anyone know the days of week/times for LV-4 and LV-7?

Do they run consistently?

LV-4 Mon thru Fri 0630a, Mon morning , does some yard work, works the Brick yard ( Ferrous Processing & Trading , Cabot street warehouse and MNP and delivers to Dearborn Steel & Kenwall Steel in the afternoon. Tues thru Fri heads for the Terrminal West track to service customers. LV-7 0730a, Mon thru Fri, switches Sererstal Steel and Detroit Salt.

NY-1 / RCO, 7:05 a.m. does mostly yard work and my serve a customer or two. NY-5, 7:00 a.m. Works Huber yard and serves customers on the Beltline extention ( loading docks / loads out, Strong Steel / scrap loads out, LaGrasso Bros. Produce / loads in and Terminal west Winston Bros scrap/ loads out, Alpha Resins / loads in. However, the humper (NY-1) has worked industries before, like PTI on the Sterling secondary. The CN interchange also gets a switch as cars arrive in the yard. NY-41 works in the yard, goes to PTI and switches the RIP tracks. The NY-41 also spots tracks for the out bound trains to pick up. There use to be more jobs there. The NY-4 was the 2nd humper, working from the Conant end of the yard, the NY-3, that went to Livernois yard after they severed the Terminal West line, NY-61, night humper worked in the yard and switched PTI.

UPDATE: Q304 and Q305 no longer run. They have been eliminated.

Here are the jobs that were based out of these yards until they closed.

MACK YARD

MY-2 8:00am (starts out of Mack yard with cars from the yard and heads to North yard & bring cars back)

MY-6 6:30am (switches the two PVS plants at Harper as well as TDSI on the other side of Jefferson ave. & Nortru / Phillip Environmental)

MY-31 3:00pm (transfers cars from Mack to North yard)

MY-79 11:00pm (fills the docks at the Chrysler plant & does some switching)


MOUND ROAD YARD

MR-51 1:30pm (transfers cars between North yard and Mound Road yard)

MR-21 6:30am Tues thru Saturday

MR-50 2:30pm Monday thru Friday

MR-70 10:30pm Monday thru Friday (runs cars to Sterling Yard)

A relief job covers am on mon. & 2nd shift on sat.

Jan 12,2009 both yards were closed (temp ? :( ). Also, at Sterling yard WS-2,gone.
