Re: Them green lights to bright?
And hence, GCOR Rule 9.8 does not apply on the Union Pacific anymore... 9.8 - Next Governing Signal A train may comply with the next signal's indication when its aspect can be clearly seen and the signal governs the track where movement is occurring or will be made. This does not apply when a rule o...

Re: CSX Locomotive Roster News, Updates & Information Thread
Atleast 2 more GP40-3s have been completed by MPI, 6502 at Avon, pics from the Locomotive Roster Shots group on Facebook by Rodney Burger. I thought there were at least 9 GP40-3s done? Are the rest of these not done? From the bullsheet: 6500........YN3 Railcar Logo.............(x-6349, xx-SCL-1639)...

Terra Haute count is a bit off. The CE&D *may* see 20-25. And what are the 5-10 other trains? I think you'd be lucky to see 50 in a 24 hr period.

Re: CSX line through Flora, IL
I believe the only scheduled trains on the Illinois Sub are St. Louis-Louisville, KY Q204 and Q265. There are occasional coal trains and other extras as well, but a very quiet line indeed.

Re: Additional train on the GR sub.
Well then, unless there is an extra set of power they can use or put together from an inbound coming in with three units, then common sense would say that inbound power goes on the next train to run, or the train that's been sitting in the yard the longest. Every outbound train may not have an inbou...

Q335 power runs through, power off previous day's Q326 goes on Q327. Simple.MQT3001 wrote:They keep sending 335 out of Toledo with just two road units...how are you supposed to make a decent 327 AND 335 with that?

Re: BNSF Employee Injured in Crash With Train.
Been a rough week for Railroaders. 3 people suffered amputations and one person providing flag protection on Amtrak was killed. Unforgiving place to work if you're not constantly on guard. Ironically, all three amputations were left feet; two RCO's and one car department employee. All three were UP...

Re: NS to Champaign/Urbana
Largest customer on the line is the large Anderson's elevator which is southwest of the Staley Rd / US-150 intersection on the west side of Champaign. Unit grain trains run as needed and CN also has trackage rights to the elevator. Within the last year, a small liquid fertilizer terminal was constru...

As a conductor, I've always wanted to try this: G4Ck5BnJBeY Looks like it would have been a perfect opportunity! Unfortunately, I'm only qualified as far north as Global 4. CSX_CO is spot on. While there is risk in EVERYTHING we do, this is not a responsible risk to take. This is NOT like the risk y...

Re: Detroit Tigers: 4th Straight AL Central Championship
Kershaw got hit hard by the Cardinals. 8 ER in 7+ innings. I thought he was better than any of the Tigers pitchers. IMO most of the Tigers pitching staff has under-performed this year. Lots of blame going to Ausmus and Dombrowski but maybe someone needs to look at the pitching coach :? 6.2 IP, 8 H,...

No, that's NOT a CR (you actually mean NS) Dash 8.5 rebuild in the background. That's NS 6917, an SD60E.And yes, that IS a CR Dash 8.5 rebuild in the background

Not sure about the video, but your list of locations has two errors;
