Re: Bridge to Canada at Del Ray?
The Zoo is worth plenty, and now in good hands. Besides, they have a Chrysler streamlined locomotive, where else can you see that, a Polar Bear and Wolverine?

Re: Bridge to Canada at Del Ray?
Why build it in Port Huron, so most of the traffic needed to go between the two countries can travel an additional bunch of miles? The majority of traffic going into Canada originates from S. of Port Huron. That would be an absolute waste of fuel, and very inefficient. As for funding, the Feds will ...

Re: Bridge to Canada at Del Ray?
This would be a great project for the area, and would bring some much needed jobs, not to mention, I think it would bring needed competition to Matty Morun's Ambassador Bridge. (He says he'll file a law suite against it, no surprise there). Not to mention having the new bridge would reduce traffic a...

Re: Are we at the bottom yet ?
Chrysler got in a world of hurt for reasons besides the Cerebus purchase. A SUV heavy lineup and a lackluster (to say the least) car line up hit the company hard when gas was high. The whole Daimler-Chrysler experience was not good for the Chrysler side either. Realistically, other than Jeep & (per...

Re: Are we at the bottom yet ?
I suspect it will be medium term, rather than short or long term. (1 year+?) I am however deeply concerned about if Chrysler will make it or not- the principal customers in the area with Warren Truck, Sterling Heights Assembly, and Warren Stamping being all Chrysler. If they go under, all bets are o...

Estimates are that oil will again be back up to $100 a barrel in 2010, and I believe this. The party with cheap gas won't be long.

Re: With fuel dropping like a rock...
It'll help cashflow, as their variable expenses go down, but a much larger problem looms and that is falling traffic levels which is deadly to railroads, as they have high fixed cost. Building materials, steel, mining, plastics, chemicals, paper, commodities, intermodal and import containers all have...

Re: E. Hunter Harrison on CNBC
My thoughts are that CN is a house of financial cards waiting to fall once he leaves. Sorry but costing in any business tends to be similar, and with Class I railroads it is especially the case, they all have similar union contracts, etc, unlike in automotive where it is union vs. non-union and lega...

There has been a rash of horn thefts through out the US, however, many truckers and auto enthusiast are putting them on their vehicles. It has become a mini-cult. Take a look at Youtube, and such websites as http://www.hornblasters.com/ As was posted above, ebay should be putting the brakes on these...
