62 was taken out of service in operable condition, inspections show it only needs minor work to get it back in service. As for the whistle, yes, it had one. Now it doesn't.

It is preserved at the Toledo, Lake Erie and Western awaiting eventual restoration back into its original RF&P paint and number. Don't know where you get the info, but they don't like having the GP40-3 on the road. It doesn't play nice with the other units. Well, I got it from a couple of people who work for the AA. One of them works(ed) the road crew. Both said the GP40 is a better puller than the 39-2's. Didn't say anythin...

They are not done shipping to the plant, there will be shipments again soon; not boxcars, but something else..
