Anyone know anything about this unit saw it today.
It is an FL9, and supposedly headed to the Cincinnati Dinner Train per LocoNotes.

Re: Lansing Board of Water and Light Cabooses

Did BWL once use an Alco RS1 at one of these places? Why did they use cabooses, shove moves? LBWL was using an ex-IC caboose as an office at Eckert and they also had an ex-GTW transfer caboose at Erickson that they would haul in the Silver Bells Christmas Parade (minus its trucks). I emailed them a...

Re: ADBF/JAIL Changes Made Under New Ownership

Where did you see that 1758/1760 are for sale? I thought that was implied with the Railmover listing... "Blue carded and in service EMD GP-9s with alignment couplers" 1751 is the only unit for sale? Seems to be the only one listed right? I think 1758 is staying with some “modifications” to it. I th...

Re: ADBF/JAIL Changes Made Under New Ownership

I think 1223 is an SW1200. Two stacks. Plus it has EMD switcher 'transfer' trucks that are not originally. I think the truck were from a Canadian locomotive from the markings on it. Nice catch, I did not realize that was entered wrong in RRPicturesArchives for all these years. Per this Flickr photo...

Well, are any of the ADBF GP9s still in service? How many? How many are for sale? :?: Does Jail have a couple GP9 s working too? I suppose they'd keep some on both these lines for MOW track work and back-up power, right? :?: :?: I like the old paint better than the new!!!!  Current A...

I refreshed the CF&E customer list. I also added a former customers subsection. LSC Communications in Warsaw, IN closed over the summer and it appears OmniSource sold their Bourbon, IN facility to CT Polymers. https://railroadfan.com/wiki/index.php/Chicago,_Fort_Wayne_and_Eastern_Railroad#Chicago.2C...

Re: Lake State Railway (Gaylord)

AJD and Hydrolake don't appear to ship by rail much if at all. AARR you need to look at the updated imagery. :D AJD has 4 cars on their spur in August 2023. On the other hand, I am not sure Hydrolake does any rail business. Unless they load cars on AJD's spur? ajd.JPG Here is the "new" track setup ...

So all traffic from West of Jackson is now going to Jackson and then going on B25 to Wayne now? Nothing goes to K'zoo for Grand Elk to take to Elkhart correct?
Yes, has been that way since early 2020.

As far as 2 railroad lines in Battle Creek: Other than CN, there is the former NS line now owned by MDOT. Amtrak operates and dispatches it. NS has trackage rights over MDOT from Town Line in Dearborn to BO Tower in Kalamazoo for freight service. West of Wayne, there is little NS traffic which woul...

Re: Snow Yard in Lansing, MI

Why would they do that with both Battle Creek Yard and Bristol Yard (Flint) just down the line? I believe Lansing currently just has the local crew for R933 switching 4-5 local industries (Citizens, Lansing Asphalt, Biewer, Land O'Lakes-Purina, UFP), the JAIL interchange, and the GM Delta Assembly p...

How many customers are located in the complex of plants west of Delta? I count at least three different companies that could be using rail service all on the cluster of property north of the NS and west of the IORY. https://railroadfan.com/wiki/index.php/Indiana_%26_Ohio#DT.26I_Subdivision_Customers

To put on the wiki customer page. On Ohio Central subsidiary Columbus and Ohio River, Reagent Chemical located and installed a truck to rail transfer station here in which hydrochloric acid is brought in by tank car and shipped out by truck.
Is this at the former CARBO Ceramics transload?
